Xavier Clark releases new EP "Tulips"

 


Last week I wrote about how I thought underground rap vet Xavier Clark is a hidden gem. Since then, Clark has released a new project titled "Tulips," and I have to say my opinion of him has pretty much not changed since then.

The project, which features four tracks produced by Hype Alexander is a whole damn mood. With lo-fi synths and scaled back drums, the project feels retro, gritty and real. The project features two guest verses from Save and another artist featured on this blog Will Cherry - both of which kill it on their tracks.

The tension was always there, you just weren't listening

There has been a lot of great discussion between people but there has also been a lot of arguing and clashing to a stand still- a mixed bag. Surprisingly enough, so are the avid white listeners have also been acting surprised an appalled at these riots. Like these protests and riots have come out of no where, like they just decided one day they were going to destroy their community.  This is simply not true. UNCUT: Jack B talks his latest project "Growing Pains"

Last week Jack B released his second project "Introspection," a seven track EP reflecting on his personal growth as an artist and person.  Produced by Duffy and Falak, the project gives listeners insight into his life, his insecurities and internal struggles. Hailing from Grand Junction, Colorado, the 19 year old artist is part of the independent collective, 343 Entertainment.
