Jay Electronica officially releases new album - from 12 years ago

This may be old news for some but I didn't want to post anything about it until it was official but Jay Electronica has finally released his other debut album Act 2: Patents of Nobility. For anyone that remembers the hype around Jay, there was some serious hype surrounding this album back in the day. I remember listening to Exhibit C trying to explain to my friends why this dude was insanely good. He was like the rap nerd's Dr. Dre and when there was word about this album and how it could drop any day us nerds were constantly on the edge of their seats.

No joke, I still checked every once in a while until the release of Written Testimony earlier this year.

Now after years of waiting, we finally have it. Technically, the album leaked over the weekend with Jay and Just Blaze confirming it was the legit album. On Sunday, Jay said that he was clearing samples to release the album officially on Tidal. Today it seems the artist has followed through and released the album fully.

I'm going to post the leaked version since neither Jay nor Just have tried taking it down or condemned it. When you have the time, listen to this album, it's a rap nerd's wet dream.

Really what I don't understand is Jay openly admits to trying to suppress this album. Why the hell would you want to do that?

Please note that this link will only be up until the album is on Apple Music. I don't have TIDAL, if you have the service STREAM IT THERE - I absolutely support artists doing their thing.
