Don Deon releases music video for "Mama Don't Cry"

Yesterday, Cleveland artist Don Deon released the music video for his single "Mama Don't Cry." The video was directed by another local artist Lovision, which I suspect you're going to see a ton of his work on the blog soon. The single is part of his recent project "For Motivational Use Only," which released last month and is available for streaming.

Laced with a sample by Queen and lyrics about grinding, Deon provides  a  hustler's anthem and rap nerd's (like me) a great excuse to talk about Cleveland's rap scene. My favorite part of the song is when he somehow manages to incorporate The Office and it works? I mean come on, a song that references Michael Scott and Dunder Mifflin and it isn't lame?

Let me know what you think,
