Okay, I'm going to be honest when I first listened to this dude's first album "White Trash," I absolutely fell in love with his style. Then one day my dumbass deleted his music from my Apple Music app and I completely forgot he existed. That being said, this is the only rapper I've ever listened to that I liked so much I actively tried looking for him for years after that incident and I finally found him while on the way back from visiting my gf's family in Youngstown.

I was so excited I shrieked, causing her to swerve while driving on a highway through Akron. Luckily it's Akron and every driver in Akron is shitty so no one noticed.

Anyway, I almost died trying to find this guy, he's that good.

  For those of you like me - obsessing over the polls, constantly refreshing browsers, trying to keep track of how many votes are where - we gotta talk. This election is extremely important and nerve wracking and I will admit that two nights ago, I didn't write any posts for the blog because I was too hyper focused on the polls. The Cut: Donte Thomas can ease you back into the post Thanksgiving grind

  I really fucking hate Mondays. I really really really fucking hate Mondays that follow a holiday. It's almost like I've completely rebooted and forgot how to do my job or function as well as I did before the holiday. Most of the time, the first day back is a wash and I mostly lurk on Twitter or Youtube while my boss isn't looking (luckily, we're working from home now so I don't have to try too hard.) Luckily, we have rappers like Donte Thomas to get our asses back on track.  Hailing from Portland, Thomas has been hustling for a minute and is even the founder of Produce Organics, an independent art collective music label.  Thomas specializes in smooth lo-fi boom bap that harkens back to the artists that established the genre in the 90's.
